Dr. Gigi Switz

Dr. Gigi Switz grew up in the Washington, DC area and knew from an early age that she wanted to become a veterinarian. Her lifelong love of animals led her to pursue studies in biology, animal behavior, and veterinary medicine, building a strong foundation for a career caring for a wide variety of species.

Following veterinary school, Dr. Switz completed an equine medicine and surgery internship in Southern California before working in both shelter medicine and small animal general practice. Over the years, she has cared for patients ranging from horses to companion animals, ultimately developing a special appreciation for the unique needs and personalities of cats.

She enjoys building lasting relationships with her feline patients and their caregivers and helping families better understand and care for their cats. Having shared her life with cats since veterinary school, working at a feline-exclusive hospital is a genuine dream come true.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Switz enjoys Barre, Pilates, yoga, spending time with her husband, and cuddling with her two senior cats, Hendrix and Page.
